Colorado On Film

Rocky Mountain National Park on Portra 160, Portra 400, and Delta 400

There’s just something about mountains on film…. Back in June, my family and some close friends took a trip out to Estes Park, CO. We spent a lot of time in the rocky mountains hiking, sightseeing, and shooting, of course. This trip was so much fun and I was shooting alongside two of my favorite photographers; one of my best friends, Chapman Campbell, and my dad, David Rancudo.

Looking back, this trip really means a lot to me. The Lord showed up in so many beautiful (and challenging) ways. A few images from this week are some of my favorites I’ve ever made. I was shooting 35mm on my Canon Ae-1 and 120mm (6x6) on my Mamiya C330. Lugging around that Mamiya was no joke, but so worth it. All of the images below were shot on Portra 160 (35mm), Portra 400 (120mm), or Delta 400 (120mm). I hope you enjoy these images as a break from my usual portraiture and as documentation of the glory of creation.
